Week of August 29
This week we will be exploring accounting careers. Students will research a particular accounting career and present their findings in a powerpoint presentation. This will be partially graded on content and partially graded on delivery...clear voices, eye contact, etc. Toward the end of the week we will begin discussing and creating resumes/cover letters.

Week of August 15
Our small class if off to a good start! With so few students, we can have a more personal classroom atmosphere and I am glad to help your student with tasks in other classes as our time allows.
This week will continue some basic math review and continue with unit pricing and the importance of mentally figuring our costs before we pay so we can know what amount to expect. We will also discuss promissory notes (loans) and how the interest adds to the principal.

Week of August 8
Welcome to Foundations of Accounting and Finance. This week will be reviewing basic math skills that need to be easily computed without a calculator. Hopefully we will learn some shortcuts to help us use our brains instead of relying on calculators.
Grades this week will consist of basic math review sheets.
